Writing: Greg Linster is a writer living in Denver, CO. He holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Colorado-Boulder and a M.A. in economics from the University of Denver. He writes a blog called Coffee Theory and has been a regular contributor at the Rationally Speaking blog. His philosophical essays, articles, and book reviews have been published in Philosophy Now, Bookslut, ribbonfarm, Philosophy For Life, The Financial Philosopher, and Oeconimicus.
Athletic: Greg Linster grew up in Colorado Springs, CO and played both high school hockey and lacrosse there. As a high school hockey player he earned four letters, was a two-time team captain, and a two-time all conference selection. While on the lacrosse field at Air Academy High School, he lettered three times and was a two-time all conference selection. Greg was also elected captain his senior year, voted team MVP, garnered second-team All-State honors, and was selected to play for the U19 Team Colorado.
After a brief stint out east at Lynchburg College in Virginia, Greg transferred to the University of Colorado in Boulder where he studied economics. While playing MCLA lacrosse at CU (under Coach John Galvin), he was named captain his junior and senior year. He earned USLIA/MDIA All-American honors in 2003 and was a two-time all conference selection.
Greg has been coaching youth lacrosse intermittently since 2005. He still enjoys playing competitively in post-collegiate leagues and tournaments.
